Heroes from Florida in World War II

A presentation about Florida’s World War II heroes.

Countless heroes in World War II came from Florida. Thomas Tart has spent much of his life documenting their stories and learning more about these pivotal moments in American History. This past June 6th was the 80th anniversary of D-Day, and Tart was in Normandy to honor these brave men. This wonderful presentation was given to The Florida National Guard Headquarters last fall, and we invite you to join us for a program hosted by Tart – a fifth generation Floridian, University of Florida Letterman Hall of Fame Member, and former Orlando Utilities Commission Vice President. This free event will take place on Thursday, September 19th, at 6pm. We will have wine, refreshments, and light snacks!
